2.      What or who is the threat?

You should them examine what or who is the threat, threat could be natural disasters, fire, or people.

3.What is the likelihood or risk of being attacked?

The likelihood or risk of being attacked depends on the area you live, work or travel. The chance of being in the wrong place at the wrong time is a risk. A person’s activity could put them at risk. Do your have something that some one else could want.

The consequence, cost or impact could be injury, being assaulted or raped, death, loss of assets or loss of information.

6. Can we remove the threat completely?

7. If the threat can’t be removed what preventive methods can we put in place?

8. Time line for putting preventive methods in place.

After you have decided what or who you are protecting, what is the threat, what is the likely hoof of being attacked,  you need to decide what preventive measures are needed, what is the cost and when the preventive measures need to be in place.

9.Monitor, review and improve.
